Bernardo is a graphic designer and creative director based in Philadelphia. He holds an MFA in Graphic and Interactive Design from Temple University’s Tyler School of Art, a Certificate in Typeface Design from Cooper Union, and is an IBM-trained Design Thinking facilitator. His 12+ years of work experience includes small and large studios, multinational entertainment groups, and clients ranging from non-profits to universities, to medical groups, and many more, both in the USA and abroad. His work has been awarded and shown across the globe. He enjoys branding, typography, hand lettering, designing patterns, and color. During the day, Bernardo is the creative director for Drexel University, Institutional Advancement, and moonshines as president for AIGA Philadelphia. In addition to producing creative projects—personal or freelance—under This Makes Me Happy, Bernardo is an educator, crafter, knitter, polyglot, foreigner, and middle child. He is currently pursuing an MS in Computer Sciences at Drexel University.
